The 71A is in Marks USA's  Metro series of mortise locksets, intended for use in apartment buildings and other residential applications. 

• Backset is 2-3/4"
• Surface mounted Escutcheon plates measure 10"x 2-3/4 outside, 7x 2-1/4 inside.
• wrought brass knob, 2 1/4 diameter
• The Brass mortise cylinder is 5 pin, 1-1/8 long and includes two keys.
• Two Peice 9/32" steel swivel spindle. 
• Apartment Entrance function, non-panic release.
