From a UL437 Listed Cylinder, to strong latch, to Bolt Bearing Mechanism, the Hercular Deadbolt will stop almost any attempt at forced entry. Strength usually does not mix with Flexibility. Not in the case of the Hercular, since it is the only Grade 1 Deadlock with an adjustable backset.

  1. Great choice for a high security deadbolt for residential or commercial purposes 5 Star Review

    I am really satisfied with (1) the product itself and (2) Asklocksmith's customer service.

    Product: For my purpose, I wanted a high security deadbolt for my home and you can't really go wrong w/ Mul T Lock. The other option (for me) was Medeco, but I called several locksmiths and they all preferred the Mul T Lock (nevermind that both are owned by the same company).

    Asklocksmith: The person I spoke with was extremely helpful and honest. Case in point: I was planning to put a double cylinder deadbolt on two doors, my front door and my side door. Double cylinders and more expensive that single cylinders. The rep actually made me rethink on putting the double on the front door. (1) Safety could be an issue (it is easier / faster to get out in case of an emergency) and (2) there may be laws in your state requiring at least one deadbolt must be single cylinder (especially if you plan on renting out the house). I didn't check the law in my state, but safety was important for me and my family.

    Shipping was fast (they will make you sign for delivery, so make sure you're home or arrange with the post office for pick up).

    End of the day, great product, great guys and great service. And this is coming from a dude in Texas.
